"Disclosure: p180t895 and I are Husbears and very much in love. (We met during MCA 2000, got Bert's Bear Dad's blessing during the 2001 Decadence (9/1/2008), and moved in together in October 2001.
Bert takes some really wonderful photos and some I just don't understand. He'll photograph the same thing more than once and lately has been uploading everything (instead of filtering it as he has in the past). I think he's simply too tired to filter (since his CPAP machine broke).
Random House approached him recently to buy the right for one of his prison photos. Its to be the cover for an upcoming book releasing in 2010 (I think).
Mentioning prison, Bert has two serious interests beside his love for me -- sneakers & a prison fetish / fantasy. You'll find he has both Flickr groups & sets, so finding a specific topic is easy. They do crossover as he says inmates regardless of security level should alway be in sneakers.
He started photographing his sneaker collection (600+ pairs), but stopped after awhile. I think it just became overwhelming because of his disability. I hope he'll continue, as he regrets stopping. Encouraging him is appreciated.
He has a prison fetish / fantasy as both a Top and bottom sexually and BDSM wise. Right now his photos are about the uniforms (shirt, pants, jumpsuit, and -of course- sneakers) and restraints. I know he wants to find some local guys (or some to come here) to play and if they agree to photograph them.
As for photography, itself, he told me he likes ISO # 80, which results in a lot of blurred photos, but it keeps down on the noise. I'm not sure what that all means, but I know he understands it. I think many of them are simply cool looking or are artistic.
His camera is a Canon point & shoot and he'd love to get a Canon 1D (or was it a 5D or 7D?).
