My name is Mike Matenkosky and I'm an Atwater CA photographer. I specialize in scenic landscape, nature, wildlife and fine art photography. You can find me photographing scenic views around the Central Valley of California and especially Yosemite National Park, Merced National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) and San Luis NWR. I love seeing what God has created!
Besides Backpacking and Hiking, I love cars. I have a 1968 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible and a 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400.

Cliff Stone says:
"I've enjoyed Mike's photography for some time now. His Yosemite photographs inspire me and I envy his home location that is so close to the park.
His passion for landscape photography and fast cars is something I share as well.
I hope you explore his photos and that you enjoy them as much as I have."16th March, 2008

"Mike takes some of the best Yosemite photos I've seen. His love and passion for Yosemite and the Sierra are clearly reflected in his images. He's also a fine wildlife photographer too. I enjoy his talent and seeing his perspective of God's creation through his viewfinder."

"I've known Mike on-line for a few years now. He has an excellent eye for composition. I love viewing all his photographs, especially his Yosemite photos, for which he has an amazing collection. Now that he has a 5D, I am hoping to see many more excellent photos in his stream in the near future."

Windwalker Images says:
"I have known Mike as a personal friend for many years now. We first met in person on the Tioga road in Yosemite just before we headed into the wilderness to climb North Dome. We have enjoyed many trips into the wilderness over the years, warm summer days and cold winter nights after snowshoeing into a meadow to snow camp in Yosemite...many, many good times and fond memories.
Mike's attitude through his many physical trials and his steadfast faith in his God have been inspirational to say the least.
I have watched him grow immensely as a photographer over the years and his love of nature and the great outdoors shines through in his photographs.
Mike is a Great Friend!"11th October, 2007

"I am not here to testify about Mike's photos but about his faith
Mike actually contracted Lyme disease. he is a living testimony to relying on God and never giving up. the Apostle Paul said " In all things give thanks" WTG Mike you are one of my heroes. Most peolple would give up and feel sorry for themselves but Mike contin ues to deal with whatever comes his way. he still does his photography in whatever capacity God allows. Mike I am assured that all pain and injuries will be gone when we arrive at the streets of Gold. Until then perservere my friend. May God bless your comings and goings"7th June, 2007
