I have always been interested in photography. For many years I have been selling my paintings and just using photographs as a reference. Gradually though, the photography has taken over, although I still enjoy painting and selling my pictures.

I live in Weymouth on the South Coast of the UK and work right opposite Weymouth Beach, which presents many opportunites for photography and the light is constantly changing.

Last year, I won a national magazine competition and the prize was a Canon 450D. I found it to be so easy to use and was so impressed with the results that I upgraded to a Canon 50D and I love it. The image that won the competition is the one that I am using here as my icon.

This year, I'm getting back to painting, taking more and more photographs and will soon have my own website. I'm also looking for that 8th day in the week to discover all that there is to see in this wonderful world.
