Rusty Russ' photostream  

I have many hobbies including taking, changing, and improving photos. I'm a good photographer, but not a great one as many of the Flickr contributers are. But I do have a great imagination, and do not fear changing my pictures until they are more interesting ( to me at least ). Somehow along the way I realized that I don't have to be restricted by reality, color, size & shape, or other's likes and dislikes - they are my pictures and I'll do what I want with them. When reality doesn't live up to expecations change the reality.

I read something by Tom Robbins recently which says it better than I can: "...a person has not only perceptions, but a will to percieve, not only a capacity to observe the world, but the capacity to alter his or her observation of it - which in the end is the capacity to alter the world itself. Those people who recognize that imagination is reality's master we call sages, and those who act upon it we call artists".
