I am Rukshana Hooda, a visual artist ~ a simple, sensitive, human-being, in love with nature...I love to paint with acrylics, charcoals, on canvas, thick cartridge, teak, fabric, & create various textures through interesting mediums ~ I Love nature, & simple things fascinate me, like the birds chirping, the sunrise , sunset, the skies with those wonderful hues, the trees, the horizon, & i feel this is so true, "We all live under the same sky, but our horizons differ..." I was born to become an Artist, it was my Destiny !!

We are each like individual fish, swimming in a watery world, separate yet connected to each other as the great ocean of consciousness flows through us, so why the discrimination...!!!! Before I reached the Modern Education System I never knew the world is divided according to Colour, Race, Religion, under the same sky, sun, moon & on the same planet !!
I am from India, & Passed out doing Fine Arts, as a Textile Designer from Sir J.J. School Of Art & Sophia College Mumbai.
The simplicity and the interesting complexities of Life intrigue me.For me Life is Learning & un-learning, & re-learning.. Feeling is desire and desire is love -FAITH Is Knowing One Of The 2 Things Will Happen ~ There Will Be Something Solid To Stand On OR You Will be Taught To Fly.......This is a feeling Universe. If you just intellectually believe something, but you have no corresponding feeling underneath that, you don't necessarily have enough power to manifest what you want in your life. You compulsorily have to feel it...
I have tried to depict the simple emotions, feelings through my paintings with nature in abundance. My Paintings show simple symbols, which are around all of us like the rising sun, moon, trees, water, rain, seasons, people, flowers, birds, the universe ,music, hence its depicting new Beginnings, a chance to re-live in the beauty & bask in the glory of nature...!!!
Beauty has no form still I try to capture & create it on my canvas...
"I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to express myself through paintings. I love it when people say my artwork enhances their lives.” I have been wondering if programmed thinking and focus on control prevents one from reaching their soul, as my best paintings are created when I allowed my hands, my mind, my thoughts, to flow freely. I hope that my work touches your mind, heart and soul.
