100-yearstolive's photostream  

Just having fun with my camera but also keeping in mind that we've "...only got a hundred years to live..," as the song goes. The camera captures a moment in time that we will never relive, but the images will allow us to "re-experience." Digital photography also allows those who come after us to experience the moments we did. To all you Flickreenos, shoot away and capture moments of family, friends, and life. After all, we've only got 100-yearstolive.

PS. Post processing programs are neat tools, but I try to utilize the camera to its fullest extent. Much of what we post process can be achieved with that hand-held miracle.

Regarding my photos labeled SOOC (straight out of camera): These photos were not post processed other than cropping and/or straightening and conversion. I will try to capture utilizing the controls of the camera such as WB, exposure, saturation, sharpening, etc. in the RAW format. The file is then uploaded to a post processing program (Nikon Capture NX2, Adobe PS or PSE) and cropped straightened if necessary, then converted into a JPEG image. I may in the future experiment with panoramas and stitching, but I will try to maintain the integrity of the image, as captured by the camera.
