I've narrowed my main interest in photography to portrait work, and I am working full time as a custom portrait photographer. My professional website for David Duane Photography is here: www.davidduanephotography.com/

I use a Canon 5D mark II (5D2), usually with a 100mm 2.8 macro image stabilized lens, or a 50mm f1.4.

Since the 5D2 works so well in low light, I've hardly used my 550EX strobe since I got the 5D2. I've shot about 30,000 pictures with the 5D2 so far, and only about 500 of those were with the flash. I hand hold the camera for the vast majority of pictures

I've been doing photography since I was on the high school yearbook staff in 1978, and then on and off several times since then. For a while, I had a medium format camera, and until January of 2009, I used a 35mm film camera. I scanned negatives and slides on a Nikon 5000 ed film scanner. The first 9,000 images I have on Flickr are from that arrangement. Photographs of people, especially candid photographs, are my favorite thing to shoot.
