for the time being, i've taken my fair share of photos, yet i dare upload only few of them for they are less (for you, at least) than, let us say, those of the folks i added to my contacts. in other words, i want to stay away from overcrowding even a space as generous as apparently flicker seems to be. and, more important, it is your time i would not want to waste. i try to reciprocate the work put into some of the outstanding photos here by commenting on them.

who knows, as i read somewhere here, dorothea lange once said that good photography should teach one how to see the reality. in my case, over time, i expect that good photography will turn me into a better photographer, not only a better person.

P.S. after a little more than a year on flickr, i've decided to add the following to my profile: 1) my photostream is outside the scope of search; 2) since i don't have a pro-account, feel free to ask me for any full-size photo in my stream; 3) i remove(d) from my list of contacts those who decide(d) to cut access to their full-size photos. indeed, while i don't contest the attraction of stamp-size imagery, generally speaking, photos need an adequate size to be appreciated.

P.P.S. On one of the special dimensions of my relationship with Flickr, I've been testing/following this hypothesis: There is a national/geographic character of photography. What would you say/think of such assertion? If you care to, we can take this conversation further, privately or not, as you wish.

P.P.P.S. I know, it's getting a habit to add a post scriptum each year or so. The 2010 edition consists of two operating principles I've somehow come to employ:
1) I do not have a Friends List, for I consider all the individuals in my Contacts List to be more than mere contacts, in a way, approaching friendship.
2) For the above point, it follows that I am reluctant to break through 100 Contacts. This is so, for I try to stay in touch with my contacts' work by commenting on it, and I must also be constrained by Dunbar's Number.
