Endless Verifying

Please Flickr, could you fix this problem? You know, the "Verifying" indicator never going away until you have to start again - it happens to every other picture and has been for months. It isn't even a new bug (I saw a thread from 2004 about the same topic) but it has been driving me demented lately. PLEASE get a fix or tell me if there is something I can do - Firefox 18.0.2 on Mac. Thank you.
