Sometimes it is on the profile page of the account. Other times you may need to send Flickrmail to the photographer.

It is implicit in the copyright notice, read the definition. You can FAQ on it, Google on it or whatever. Best of course is simply to ask the photographer.

It is explicit in the licensing terms that vicktorya posted above. She's talking about a Creative Commons license.
Creative Commons licenses require you to attribute the image in the manner specified by the copyright holder.
When they don't specify how they want attribution, it creates a problem.
Do they just want "taken by Real Name"?
Do they want a link to the image somewhere on the net included?
Do they want "taken by Pseudonym"?
Do they want it to say "taken by Real Name for Cause Name, please donate"?
Do they want it to say "taken by Flickr Screen Name"?
A Creative Commons license leaves it up to the creator of the work how they want the attribution to appear.
When all else fails, for a photo on Flickr that has a Creative Commons license, I suggest using their real name as listed on their profile, and if that's not available, their Flickr Screen Name plus a link back to their profile page.
