Paul, it's this one: www.flickr.com/photos/linus/2081360788/
I was just poking around and thought it was odd that all the comments came on a day with no views. The comments did come all at once - it was posted to the Guess Where NYC group, and there were a couple of people guessing.
Edit: Check the daily graph listing for Dec. 2 to see the odd result.

You can comment via the API, which will result in no views. Apps like photophlow can cause strange looking patterns like that.

I'm certainly not one to turn down a "free feature" (well, it comes with the pro package, so it's not like I have to pay extra) but I must say, I just don't get the fuss. It's not like we get a prize or cash bonus for "best stats." And I haven't yet figured out how to make money by having a popular photostream (I'm not a pro-photographer), so I don't really care much who looks at my photos or not.
Oh well, I'm sure much like Explore, I'll forget about the feature until someone starts a thread in the Help Forum or FC complaining about how unfair "stats" are and how it proves that Yahoo is evil.
But kudos to flickr staff for giving (almost all) the flickr users what they've asked for. :-D

Thanks for pointing this out Wooble - yes, the FAQ needs updating.
There's actually 2 different "all times", depending on what data we're talking about.
We started recording data for views on photos and photostreams sometime in 2004.
For detailed information on where people came from ("referrers"), we started recording the data a few weeks ago, but we won't be keeping it forever for non-pro accounts or people who haven't activated their stats.
We'll be adding tooltips to the pages to give the exact dates for your account, once I've finished trying to work out what went wrong with Linus Gelber's photo!

iansand: Good question. "Direct Traffic" is hits on your photo that don't have a referrer. This means someone has either typed the url in directly, or clicked on a link in another program on their computer (eg, email client, news reader etc). As a result, we don't know where they came from.
It's so easy to forget we're using jargon sometimes...

iansand: Yes, if the RSS feed is being viewed in something like NetNewsWire or FeedDemon.
If someone is using a web based reader (say, my.yahoo.com, google reader, bloglines etc) then you'll see the name of the news reader in the referrers.
We still don't know which feed the hit came from though. If we had that info, we'd show it to you...

The FAQ says it updates once per day. Is that based on the very first time you updated (ie, mine was Last updated: 7:39AM, 14 December 2007 NZDT). So does that mean it will be updated tomorrow at the same time? And at that point, I'll be able to see activity from Dec 13th?

iansand: Again, it depends. The first click (when they click on the guest pass in their email) will be direct traffic because we won't know where the click came from. From then on, they'll be clicking between pages on flickr, so the referrer will be "flickr.com". We're not tracking whether someone is using a guest pass or not.
I think (but don't know for sure) that the most likely source of direct traffic on recent photos is people using RSS feeds to keep up with their contacts photos.
Matt: We were wondering how long it would take to ask that question! We're definitely thinking about it.
Brenda Hate to say it, but it depends. We start at about 1am GMT, but it can take a while to get through everyone's stats.

Matt: We were wondering how long it would take to ask that question! We're definitely thinking about it.
Well, Paul, if I could add a bit to your deliberations (and hopefully I'll say at least one thing you haven't already discussed), the two things I'd be particularly keen on seeing and don't strike me as impossible to provide would be:
• the aggregate view counts, parameterised by what's shown (day, week, last week, all time).
• the aggregate referrers list (i.e., Flickr/Search Engines/Other/Direct, which has a neat acronym: FSOD.)
The other one I'd like just as much, but can imagine problems arising with providing it, would be the individual referrers list. Seems it could get rather long and unwieldy.
A compromise to the full referrers list that would be 99% as good as the entire thing might be referrals from within Flickr, either a full list, or an aggregate "pools/discussions/tags/contacts/sets/etc" list.
I'd also like to add that the stats are super-cool, and that you should archive the 'activate me' page somewhere so that I can look at it later for a laugh. It was brilliant.

EDIT - I didn't do a browser cache clearing and when I went to the tab of the stats link that was in the info of one of my photos, the Under Construction graphic was gone and was displaying stats of my photos, including comments, posting to other members' Favorites, geotagged photos, and tags on photos, along with totals of photos in groups and not in groups and views of my photos.

- photos vs screenshots vs art/illustraion
- creative commons vs traditional copyright
- ability to view where just your Creative Commons photos have been linked / blogged from (hooray, people are using my content!)
- ability to view where just your traditional copyrighted photos have been linked / blogged from (boo, people are stealing my content!)

You can get a sense of what sets are being viewed by clicking on flickr.com under domain.
It would be great to have an easy way to see all the photos which were viewed in the last day or week (and perhaps eventually month).
One interesting thing for overall flickr design is a way to highlight collections better if you feature sets instead of collections on your main page.
My stats are pretty similar to Scott's (though not as much traffic). Lots of set views, but almost no collection views
www.flickr.com/photos/laughingsquid/2109391956/
It seems that people may not be drawn to the collections link next to sets
flickr.com/photos/ari/sets/72157600248422579/
Perhaps some sort of visual representation would help.
