I'm not sure this is your answer, but not all newly uploaded photos from contacts show in that stream. Look at the bottom of
www.flickr.com/photos/friends/
and see if it's limited to 1 or 5?

I have the same problem and also another with contacts, when someone adds me I receive a mail but I don't appear in their contact list...and no, my profile is not hidden, no they didn't remove me from their contacts...is there some big bug about updates? I'm still not receiving email notifications for the activity on my pics, as I wrote in the other post...

Same to me too. Some new uploads of a few of my contacts don't appear on my contact's page. I have subscribed to the RSS feed of some few of my contacts, and my RSS feed reader informs me of new pics on their streams, but they don't appear on my contact's page here on Flickr.

Same for me. It started yesterday afternoon at about 14:00 Central european time for us. I think it has to do with something that 'flickr'/yahoo engineers are doing in the backgound. Pity is they never notify us users of any 'glitches' they produce for us...
Trying to contact admin of 'flickr'/yahoo? Where? We might as well try send a letter to the moon.
I'v had some serious copyright issues and I'v send 'flickr' mails through all the channels that seem public to no avail.
We'v to wait till they fix the problem and carry on as is I'm afraid.

not only these, but on top I dont get the "recent activity" e-mail that i use to get.
Flickr has some serious problems that started 30 hours ago, but till now this news was not exposed to the media, which is very strange.
I guess that their database was corrupted, hacked or worse than that, some kind of hackers groups are bridging Flickr's applications traffic to some other destination.
Filckr - wake up !

You believe the automated response you received? Fair enough, you believe it.
However i have now been waiting 6 days for a response (to a different matter), and i hear of people waiting over 12 days.
So you send your help by email letter, but dont count on a response.
:-(

I'm having the same problem. I've noticed that most of the photos recently added contacts post are not showing up for me. I've also noticed that the traffic on my page has dropped by at least a third in the last couple of days. I thought it was just slow at first, but it is persisting and then I found this thread. So it must be a Flickr issue.

yes, i'm having the same issue as smoore24...i usually have up to five pages of contacts every morning because i view from all of my contacts (showing only one photo)...then i noticed that the heading had been changed to friends and family only (i did not change this) and even though i changed it back it keeps defaulting to friends and family only and it's very frustrating and i'm only seeing friends and family!!

I am having the same problem - I added several new friends&family contacts this morning, but none of them can see my f&f photos, and it's been over an hour since I added them.
On my contact list, it shows then as f&f - but if they look at my profile, it only lists them as a contact.
There are at least 5 topics about this that have been posted this morning, so it's definitely a bug in Flickr at the moment.

I am not sure if this HELPS in any way, but I have noticed that a LOT of people have added me to as their contacts. That is I get an email saying I am in their contact list, but when you go to their Contact List I am not there.
So I could have a bunch of people add me, and then delete me, but it is somewhat surprising that it is happening with such frequency.
I am thinking that it would be the database just not updating.
I also noticed that I have added some people as contacts, but they have not been saved, and I have lost them.
It could be that it is just a fault and Flickr is playing up.

I too am having the same trouble. I can see that some of my contacts have new photos and then others don't appear.
first noticed the problem yesterday, thinking it sure was a slow day. then discovered that alot of my contacts had new photos and i didn't know it.
Problem has continue through today.
hoping it will be solved soon....so frustrating! but checking them all individually now.

Goody, it is working now, and I do show on the contact list of the person who added me. Though there is another problem with contact lists that I figured was related but apparently isn't. If someone has you marked as a friend and family, and you click "Click here to view other friends and family" it won't show any of the friends or the family, only the contacts. It does that on all lists that I'm both friend and family on, but not ones on which I'm only a friend, or only family, they do show the other friends or the other family. But that's another minor problem ... thanks for fixing the important one :)
