Clearly not, or she'd have done it... And who would we have to complain to then?
55 out of my 860 have got the dodgy photostream image - some pixilated, most not. Two are porn, the rest aren't. Some are, in fact, very good...
No rhyme or reason to either the photos affected, or the ones appearing.

brindy, don't make people panic with non-info. What would "compromised" mean here? IMO, it's just a database hicckup, they'll revert to a backup and / or let some scripts run around and tidy things up.

I doubt very much if it's "hackers". It's most likely an issue with the database that controls which images are displayed where. A single number wrong could do it.
Nevertheless, it simply seems far too widespread and random to keep in up and running until resolved in my opinion. Some of the images will end up cached on people's systems so better to nip it in the bud now.

goran_zec, the images that are different/changed are stored on flickr's static web servers, meaning that someone must be changing them since those images are created at the time you upload them to flickr. the urls generated for thumbnails on the page have the same image id as the bigger pictures, so it's clearly not some "database hiccup".
in any case, it's never a bad idea to change your passwords once in a while, just in case!

Problem I'm having is with smaller sizes of the pics. If you click on the wrong image, when you see the photo proper size its fine. So something very screwy going on. Oh and if you don't like the random pic you have over the top of what should be there - press refresh on your browser and mine seems to change. Very weird problem indeed.

As you can see you pics by clicking on all sizes, it hopefully is no hack but just a bug... a big bug though.
I've noticed, that the URL of freaked out images is almost equal to the real URL despite the URL parameter v. Copy the URL of some broken image and replace the number xxx in ?v=xxx with any other number (i.e. 0 or 1) - you should see your original picture.

Disclaimer: I have no relation to yahoo or flickr whatsoever!
My personal suggestion to all Flickr users: please don't delete your photos, don't upload new ones for a while, don't re-upload photos to try to fix them, don't make your photos private. Don't touch anything!
This is bad, really bad, but nothing you do will improve anything. The random photos will still be there, no matter what you try to do.
Please Flickr staff, just take the *.static.flickr.com machines down. Better to show a broken image than other people's photos.

Yeah, site should be down till this is fixed. I have not seen anything not safe for work in my stream yet, but various size options in my photos are not like the others. I dunno whether they have been hacked or a major database screw up though I have the feeling hacked and it will take awhile (days i know from being on the IT staff of a group who had to restore a metric f*ton of data in one go) to get it all restored.
