Your house is on Fire?

Clear your cache and do a hard reboot. Sounds like you have other issues than Flickr.

..to the best of my knowledge (and experience) Flickr does not have any associated sound files ..the only audio I'm aware of are files associated with member's videos
..I'm also quite confident this won't make it to the Frequently Asked Questions page

This is almost certainly related to the fact that you have Google open in another tab/window. Their website is making siren noises today (and allowing you to play Pac-Man)

Obviously, the people at Google don't have enough to keep them busy.

Even if you close the Google tab or the browser the irritating pacman sound will continue.

If you are using Firefox and have the Coolpreviews addon, disable it and that will solve the annoying problem

I heard sirens earlier today while I was on Flickr but it turns out they were taking 9 illegals out of an apt. down the street.

Hrmrmrmr, this commentary is really getting off topic. Let's try not to go down that road, please. :)

I'll redirect the topic to Google's support forum. Thanks!
