*br* email posting formatting

When I first started using flickr it seemed to be no problem..I didn't change any settings before this happened.. now whenever I email a picture flickr is adding in a ton of formatting ,specifically double <br's at every line break. I found this question in the history, but unanswered from a year ago. Is there some solution? I just don't need that much formatting when I post.
