I agree. Title should be at the top of the photo. And the admin invitation drop down near the photo. Not buried in other menu options. 4 clicks for admin invite alone + placing any group icon is not kind to those of us with carpal tunnel. The fewer clicks the better! Please.. drop down box was much easier on our hands.
A little warning to lose the old format would have been nice.
And why is the camera information first thing on the top? It is not nearly as important as other items. Why the shift?

How can you copy the photos to add to a thread or to your own comments with no URL's? I generally copy and post an on black photo, or a smaller version if I'm showing an original of an edited version, but I can't see how to copy the pics now.

The old "All Sizes" gave a link, which I could post on a forum and the photo would show on that forum. I can't see any way of doing this with the new format. (and doing this is my sole reason for getting on Flickr...if it is gone, I'm afraid I am gone, too.)

The image URL is available via the browser you use, which saves some space on Flickr's page. If you go to whichever size you want, right-click on your image and choose "copy image URL". Or you can open the image in a new tab or window and copy the URL from the browser address bar.

When someone gets an admin invite, it would be nice to see which admin issued the invite instead of just the icon for the group. Not helpful at all.
And how do we now find out what page in a pool a photo is on.
This new format is making it extremely difficult for admin work!!!

I'm not happy. I tried it when it first showed up and quickly went back to the old format. It worked better for how I choose to use Flickr. I'm not saying the new look is bad, just that it messes things up with scripts that I rely on for groups and other things. I hope the script writers catch up with this or I likely will have to give up running my groups.

I love it! I've been using the preview for a few weeks now and even visiting the old format seemed outdated. I'm so excited it's live now and love everything about it. There has been so much thought involved in this upgrade and it's apparent in every aspect of it's functionality. Our photos are big, bright, sharp and gorgeous. Our streams now look like galleries as opposed to a simplistic stream of photos. Great job Flickr! Thanks!

As Brenda said, there is no "browse" button anymore. The title above the thumbnails serves that purpose, and will take you where you want to go mid-pool.
In fact I found the quickest way to find my way around the new design was just to click on everything and see what it did.

Basically the title of the filmstrip acts like the Browse button on the old page.

@ Zack: so dropping pics in various sizes into group threads will still be supported?
And the title underneath is wrong. Didn't like it in the preview. Thought that would be sorted by now. Confuses description and title too much now.
EDIT: And the fact that the long group titles are still abbreviated when adding makes it tough to add to groups. Groups with the first three or four words the same cannot be differentiated till you add to the wrong one. And some admins get really annoyed with that.

What happened to all the photos I put in my comments section?? I guess you'll tell me that you no longer support the best browser on the internet (Netscape 7.2) ... and please don't tell me that the others are better as I use the others too!!
If this is the case ... looks like a lot of work for me to get use to slow responses on FireFox and Internet Explorer + plus the number of times they CRASH!!. NS 7.2 never crashes and seldom failed and it is fast on all aspects!!
You would think technolgy moves forward .. but not in this case!!
I have no control in getting use to the "new" ... but I don't have to like it!!

I don't like how little space is at the left. It feels and looks cramped.
Title should be on top. A must!
Drop down menus slow process.
I DO like views, comments, favorites statistics as top.
I DO like map showing location of photo, if data is available.
Members should have option of new or old page.
Change is good if it's needed; change for the sake of change is wasted effort. You've fixed something that didn't need fixing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

What about when you click on the group links on the right of a a photo page. it expands the little thumb strip. but in Chrome, if you click on it again, it doesn't collapse it, it goes to the group. That isn't too useful.

1. I do not know where I left off submitting to groups for the next 10? All the groups that I WAS in are at the top. Now I have spent 20 minutes trying to figure out where the next 10 are! Looks like I'll have to get a paper and pencil and write the next group down as the next starting point, plus write a list ON PAPER of all the groups that require an INVITE. By doing this manual work, this takes me back to the DARK AGES!
2. Plus, when I submit, I have no idea if the group is an INVITE ONLY group! Thus, I'm afraid I'll get banned on some, not knowing I require an INVITE! This is a terrible designed page!

I noticed many of the same issues that are listed above. I was never able to get the "test it" mode to run and when the "New" page appreared a little while ago I was LOST! I was in the middle of going down the list of people who had left comments on our images and was leaving comments for each of them. With the New set-up, instead of just clicking back to the last person on my image, the "back" button takes me to the top and my image and I have to scroll through all the comments to get back to the person I need for the next comment. This is going to add 30-40 minutes to my commenting time every night!!!! NOT good!!!
I also do not see the way to add images to our "sets".
I do like have all the group invitations grouped together.

@zack re reading your answer in terms of group threads I actually guess i wasnt clear.
For example, in a group, I want to add a photo to a thread for a contest say. Before, I would grab my image's HTML code - not the URL - for small or medium and drop it into the the thread as a comment and the pic it would appear in that size in my comment for the thread. There doesnt appear to be the HTML anymore to do that in the all sizes window. How is that done now?

Sumaato geotag, the only sensible Flickr geotagging option, is broken in the new layout. (I know, third party, but having the new geotagging offer by flickr be a little more stable would've been a great idea.)

That's because these sorts of threads tend to be a cathartic release, and most people don't come to the Help Forum when things are to their liking.
So I think you're going to have to measure your negative feedback against the 40+million users who haven't yet registered a complaint, if you want to do a tally.
Not everyone's going to be happy about everything, but if you give the new design a chance, maybe more than half an hour, it may grow on you.

I use nothing special .. only the codes provided by Flickr. Yes, I can see these photos from FF and IE ... but I cannot see them using NS 7.2.
Thanks .. I thought that's what it was ... no support for NS 7.2.
I just read above ... and I will not be renewing my PRO and will go to your freebie account. I will spend the remaining PRO time on Flickr to remove my photos down to a workable level of about 10-20 ... so I can post 180-190 on a free bases! Thanks for the update!!
Not to be too harsh, I find this format cumbersome! I lot of work by you people ... some good features but the navigation is very poor!
