Cue the Bagpipes! (Or: Strange Behavior of New Flickr Group)

Last week, I started a new group called The Beach. The Flickr URL /groups/thebeach/ was unclaimed, so I nabbed it.

Then, I assigned half a dozen photos to the group, and added its badge to a blog (http://beach.curbed.com) so the blog readers would be encouraged to add their pictures, too. All well and good.

Except that as of today, Flickr is telling me the group that resides at that Flickr group URL is actually called Scotland 2006. Yet it has my photos in it.

www.flickr.com/groups/thebeach/

Anyone got a clue what's going on? Thanks in advance for any insight.

This sounds very much like part of the bug that affected new accounts/groups created on May 23rd ( www.flickr.com/forums/bugs/23158/ ).
