Me too. I just uploaded a photo to Flickr ... it was there for about 5 minutes, then it disappeared.
Three sizes of the photo are still there:

The error happened when I was submitting the photo to the JPG Magazine group (http://flickr.com/groups/jpgmag). I can see on this group and on the FlickrCentral group (where I also submitted the photo) that several other photos around the mine have also disappeared. I am sure this is related - I uploaded over 1000 photos today and am trying to do batch operations using Organizr such as change perms, add to sets, etc. Getting file not found errors. Also if I double click some photos in Organizr I actually see other people's photos. I understand you're working on solving some problems, hopefully this is related and you can use it for more information.

I was directed to this topic by Kevin and am releived it is only a bug - and I am sorry that I started a topic about my own experience with this problem without consulting previous threads.
Anyways - good luck with fixing it - I certainly would have ended up throwing the monitor across the room in frustration had I not known what the problem was!

Wow, this sucks a big one.
I added new photos I was pretty fond of to quite a few groups and now they are still there but can't be seen, and when they can be seen again they will probably be on page, oh, 293 and I can't add the same photo twice.

I think this may be related - I just uploaded some photos via the Uploadr. I was already logged into Flickr. When the uploadr completed I clicked the button to view my photos.
I got this page claiming I'd uploaded my photos under another user name:

I don't know that Flickr user and my copy of the Uploadr states it is connected as me (evilcoffee).
Fortunately, when I went to my homepage my photos were there, which was a relief.

I have one or two that are stuck in the same situation. This problem appeared to happen when I decided to edit a previously entered caption/description. I am able to delete the set that this picture is in, but cannot create a new set containing the picture (which kind of makes sense, as it's not 'there' :)

People, I don`t think they are going to tackle each problem individually.. I believe they already know there`s lots wrong and somehow all our problems seem to be related. Let`s wait for the results now.
In the meantime, make yourselves at home, grab an easy chair, pop some popcorn and put some DVD on. :)

The uploader uploaded one pic of a set to my group, then told me "Ooops" and that I seemed to have 2 accounts, and that the photos had uploaded to someone else's account. I snapped a screen shot, then checked their account - my photos aren't there... I wonder where they are.........?

I just uploaded some photos, and both time, after they uploaded and Flickr sent me to the screen asking for photo name/description/tag, there was an extra photo there that wasn't mine. But when I hit save on that screen, only my five photos showed on my main page.
*edit - I uploaded a third batch and there were no problems.

Okay, this was my topic that was locked in Flickr Central and was redirected to this thread.
I created a new set this afternoon, called Metal Night Fight. If you will go to my sets page (or my photostream page where the sets are listed)

you will find a photo as the primary photo that is NOT MY PHOTO, and is NOT IN THE SET!
What's up with this? Has someone hacked my sets? Where did this photo come from? I cannot give you a link to it because it is not in the set!!

I don't know if this is part of the same problem but I created a flickr account, uploaded photos and when I login again, the account doesn't exist anymore. When I recreate the account and try to recreate my set, it tells me that I have reached the maximum number of sets and need to get a pro account. I will wait because I don't want to use up any more space with impossible sets of invisible photos.

About 2 hours ago I uploaded two photos to a group, then checked the group page - both pics were there, side by side. Now, someone else's photo has replaced one of those two.

Also, on my photostream home page, the icon for one of my sets is just showing a little red x instead of the representative image. When I go in the set, though, the image is there. (It's a set with only one image - so far, anyway.)

I'm also seeing non-contact photos showing up in the "Photos from your friends" view. Since the team is working on this as we speak, I'm not too upset about it.

FWIW, after a bit more poking around, I discovered that of the three pics I uploaded today (and whose pages I successfully opened an hour or so ago), two are giving me the "bad link" error when I try to open their pages from my photostream, while one is still accessible from the photostream.
None of the pics I uploaded before today are displaying the problem (yet?).
The problematic set with the little red x instead of the representative image on my photostream page contains one of the "dead link" pics.
Hope this info helps solve the problem.

Same problem as xdrei's (note the lower case "x" :p).
Uploaded a macro few hours ago. Now flickr gives me the oops message! Tried to delete it from the front page. Did not work.
It's even weirder in the Organizr. When I double click on my photo, a completely strange photo shows up that is not even mine! Tried to delete it. The following was the result.

Its happening to me, its happening to my contacts photos.
All of the bad links are uploads from earlier tonight (may 23rd).
edit: Oh..and when I tried looking at them in Organizr, then I got some Brian's Graduation instead of a photo of a bird I took today. Who is Brian and what is he doing in my Organizr ?! *lol* This is totally weird.

Dr. Tao,
Thank you for bringing up the issue of the bad link with my red bird. I am so dismayed that you could not view it. I appreciate your trying though, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
I noticed this problem with the photos of many of my Contacts. I just hope that this is temporary issue with Flickr and not a case of some database corruption.
For now, I guess it is best to let FlickTech work out the wrinkles.

Same problem with the locked photo issue. When I click on the photo I uploaded today, it just direct me to a page says:
This page is private.

After hitting upload in the preview screen there's somebody else's pic - got t wo different ones.

I was uploading some photos and I was getting ready to put the descriptions and a strange pic was in my stream. I posted a description "Who's is this?" and I hit save and it went away. I uploaded 12 pics and only 11 showed up. What's up with this? Is this a way for someone to hack in and upload photos using someone elses bandwidth limit?

Didn't read the whole thread but the same thing just happend to me. It doesn't happen right away. I uploaded a photo,marked it private, sent it to a group, there was one view then the problem came up. In the group pool it is no longer visable but there is a question mark there and I can't delete it from the pool. I can still see it on my page. I uploaded it again and it worked BUT now the one beside it on the right won't open. That one is public, hasn't been viewed or sent to any groups. It was uploaded at about the same time and worked at first. So now I have two I can't open.
Also, flickr has been acting weird about my upload limit, sometimes it says I've exceeded it but in fact I've only used about 2%.

I've got the bad link thing too - on photos I uploaded after about 3:30 this afternoon Toronto time (ie 6 and 1/2 hours ago). Photos uploaded this morning seem to be fine... I'm not getting any unknown lady with blue kitten shots though, just the page not found thing.

Someone was able to upload their pictures into my photo stream....
its some family photos from "elsie"
Also a photo submit to the "deleteme" group was made on my behalf...( I did not submit that photo)
This site must have been hacked or Hijacked by an impersonator...
Did anyone else experience the same....?? HELP

now the picture on the right that was working has a messege that says the picture has been deleted, you might want to ask Joesann77 about it I looked him up and sent him a pm. Maybe people shouldn't be deleting the weird things that are coming up or we may have to upload again. That picture was private (just a boring pic, nothing offensive) and was my second attempt to get it on my page. Don't delete!

I got six photos uploaded and into a set. Then I started getting the "Oops, bad link!" thingy, and now I can't delete the files from my Photostream either. I went ahead and reupped the affected photos and they're working fine, so I just have duplicates until the buggie goes away.

yup tracking down all the problems. This is hit for a few photos (order of 10s of K) uploaded during a small window of time. It's not a problem that is on-going. Note I will fix the existing weirdness. Once the fix runs, I'll update this thread to let you all know when it's done.

My uploads (one) are disappearing to be be replaced by other peop-les (one). I cannot delete the one sent by mistake, and I have not attempted to replace mine. I will delete it instead.
