Accessing Flickr photos if Yahoo! account is deactivated?

MegsPhotos.com says:

I've heard a lot of complaints about using a Yahoo! ID to log in to Flickr. I have not, however, heard of a specific case like mine. While I have not tied my Yahoo! account in with Flickr yet, I'm curious to know what would happen to a user's Flickr photos if Yahoo! deactivated their account.

In actuality, my Yahoo! account was indeed mysteriously deactivated on Thursday (thankfully, I had not started using it to log in to Flickr). I've been trying unsuccessfully to get a response from Yahoo! on why my account was cancelled.
I am very unhappy with Yahoo!'s customer service and have outlined a detailed history of complaints on my blog (including several e-mail and phone calls to Yahoo! and a BBB submission). If you are a Yahoo!/Flickr employee, please help me find out what happened. So that everyone is on the "same page", please post your responses on my blog; or here if it's that much more more convenient.

UPDATE Nov1 evening: You can follow this discussion in the related Flickr Central post from today.

omismillie, No. There was a unintended technical problem at Yahoo that had absolutely nothing to do with the Yahoo aquisition. Here's the info that I linked to over in the Flickr Central discussion:

"There was a glitch in the Yahoo! Matrix that caused a number of Y! Accounts to be deactivated. Yahoo engineers found a problem and are working to have everything fixed in the next 24 hours."

Megsnijj.com, I'm glad that we were able to resolve your issue for you in a more timely manner. We will be addressing the larger questions that arose from the discussion in Flickr Central.
