How do I geotag my pics?
|
|
I have my latitude and longitude, what do I have to do next? Just add normal tags for every pic I want to with the l/l numbers? Or is it in the description or something?
Thanks!!

You'll need three different tags: latitude, longitude, and "geotagged." This example will show you the formatting:
geo:lat=40.758578
geo:lon=-73.976623
geotagged
I think six places after the decimal is standard, but I'm not sure. Try the GeoTagging Flickr group for more help.

You could also geotag your pics at the file level, before uploading it to Flickr using tools like the WWMX Location Stamper (http://wwmx.org). These tools write the lat/long coordinates to the JPG's EXIF. Sites like GeoBlogger's also pick up on this data.

Here you have a new site for geoTagging!
Just move the map to the desired location and copy the geotagged tags like "geotagged geo:lat=51.513210 geo:lon=-0.110153" in your picture's tags!
BeeLoop's Lat/Lon to Flickr's tags geoTagging page.
Enjoy,
S.
