About Sacramento pre-1993 Dance Club Preservation Society

This club is devoted to incapsulating pre-1993 Sacramento dance clubs such as Maxims, The Edge, Second Level, Hippadrome, Dancetiria, Club Gnaw, The Mineshaft, etc.. Also to reconnect those who attended. This page is also dedicated to monkey boots, Now and Again, progressive girls and boys, silver hondas with Souxie stickers, "Directions" hair dye with red .5, Debbie and Dean, jumping the fence at Mckinley hall to get in free, watching the 1978 Star Wars christmas special at K St. "Records", the catacombs, listening to Skinny Puppy "Dig it" while driving downtown on the 160, E/N when he had a feathered mullet and wore glasses, wearing one bondage bracelet, Lyons on Greenback, Makoto records, the Dewchow apartments in Folsom, Roger's dancing, Morrissey boys, 4 a.d. girls, the McKinley rose garden, Java City @ 18th and capitol, Esoteric brands of cigarettes, worrying about getting into a 16 and over club, Mark Faulkner's dancing that I'm still trying to learn, passing around bottles of cheap vodka, skull ashtrays from Evangelines, "coffeeshop" (RIP Aaron), the drive-by shooting that had Adam Bald eating cereal with shards of glass for a week, endlessly obscure stories that mean something to less than 5 people, Nitzer Ebb opening for Depech Mode, saving the tower theatre, the Madestone apartments, paranoia, bats swooping down on you in the alley by the entrance to The Edge, drinking vodka in "clearly canadian" bottles, and everyone who thinks they haven't seen anything good today.
