03 Jun 10 - Photos in the group pool.... hey all, I just deleted a few photos from the pool that weren't shot with a zone focus camera. I definitely don't have time to check all the photos added to the pool, so please be sure photos you add were either taken with a true zone focus camera or are photos of such a camera. Thanks!

About Zone Focus

This group is dedicated to any zone focus camera, such as the Olympus Trip 35, the XA2, Fujica 35 FS, and many others. While I know it's possible to use the 'zone focus' technique with any camera, this group will be dedicated to cameras that offer zone focusing as the only method of choosing your focus.

The idea for this group came to me when I realized there was no dedicated group for my rather rare Fujica 35 FS camera. It's specs are very similar to the Olympus Trip 35 - offering 4 focus zones and 2 shutter speeds, but the Fujica is battery powered rather than the selenium cell meter provided on the Trip. This led me to search for a zone focus group, and I was very surprised that no such group existed yet. So, here it is.

35mm Zone Focus Cameras:

Chinon Bellami
Fujica 35FS
Konica C35V
Olympus Trip 35
Olympus XA 2
Olympus XA 3
Olympus XA 4
Minolta Hi-Matic 5
Minolta Hi-Matic C
Minolta Hi-Matic G
Minolta Hi-Matic S
Minox 35
Petri Color 35
Petri Color 35D
Petri Color 35E
Ricoh FF-1
Rollei 35 (all variations)
Yashica 35 ME
Yashica 35 MF

I know there are many, many more zone or scale focus cameras - but above are some of the more common or popular ones. There are also many scale focus cameras in formats other than 35mm - such as 110mm, but I will not attempt to try to list those either.
