Young Photographers United was created in 2001 as an organisation with the aim of promoting young emerging photographers around the world. Each year we select 50 of the most exceptional new talents from more than 2,000 applicants around the world. Photographers remain with the foundation for three years. (see www.ypu.org)
TOMORROW: YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS UNITED - The Community
Each year, Young Photographers United selects only 50 of the 2,000 photographers that apply. The photographers that did not get through our selection still bomb us with questions about the variety, complexity and evolution of the ever-changing photography world. This confirms that there is a real gap between a photographer’s graduation and professional recognition. So YPU steps up and opens up its concept to help more photographers: to become the WORLD’S LEADING YOUNG PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMMUNITY.
The portal will hold online graduate shows, video casts of leading figures in the photography world, discussion forums, competitions, ...
