Where would you go?
 |
With the problems that arise from Yahoo! execs fleeing the company lately it brings to mind lot's of questions regarding the state of Flickr. While my gut tells me that Flickr will still be here, I have to ask, where would you go if Yahoo! dropped the ball on Flickr?

Oh, I suppose Photobucket, PBase, SmugMug , or Photo.net.

PictureSocial.com has potential but I would probably go back to Coppermine hosted on my own account. However if flickr were to fail and not be bought up by someone - a replacement wouldn't be far away.

I think I'd start a proper photoblog. I stopped before because I use flickr instead and got sick of doubling up.
As for renewing a pro subscription, I'd be torn. I'm thinking that 200 photos on display is probably enough and would encourage me to maintain quality in my stream.

smugmug seems the best option for a service comparable to flickr, I tried it breifly and jut didnt like the interface, nothing wrong with it, just prefected flickr.
I would like to start my own blog type thing but I dont have the patence to stick at it without regular comments and visitors. A few freinds of mine run great blogs and seem to get very few people making comments or anything.
