22 May 12 - Take part in our May -July photo challenge 'The essence of summer'
We're inviting all 'Your Kew' Flickr Group members to take part in our latest photo challenge; 'Essence of summer'. All you need to do is take eye catching photos of what you believe captures the essence of summer at Kew Gardens or Wakehurst and share them with the 'Your Kew' Flickr Group. At the beginning of August, we'll showcase our favourites in a new Flickr Gallery and feature a selection on our website.

About Your Kew
The official Flickr Group for Kew Gardens and Wakehurst.
Share your photos of the Gardens with us and take part in monthly photo challenges. Help Kew show off the best of the Gardens and see your photos featured on Kew's website.
Here are some tips on the best way to share your photos with Kew on Flickr.
These tips are important if you'd like your photos to be featured on Kew's website. Kew is not obliged to display your photos on its website but we'd really like to. This group is not competitive.
The subject of photos submitted to the Your Kew Flickr Group must...
• have been taken at Kew Gardens, Surrey or Wakehurst Place, West Sussex.
Include as much information about the subject of your photo as possible
• meaningful image titles and tags that describe where the photo was taken e.g. Kew Gardens or Wakehurst Place
• meaningful image titles and tags that reference the name of the primary subject/species (i.e. plant name, common and/or scientific or building name e.g. palm house). You can find species name information on labels around the gardens.
• other descriptive content about your photo .
