About You CAN'T Park Here!
You CAN'T Park Here!
Hello! And welcome to You CAN'T Park Here! This group is all about making an art of parking where you shouldn't, be it on two wheels or four.
Traffic wardens, ticket-writers..., or plebs as they're sometimes known always seem to be lurking in the shadows of our congested roads and overcrowded town centres waiting to add the next victim to their quota of parking fines for the day - and all you wanted to do was grab a quick packet of smokes. So a picture of your or someone else's car, bike..., or whatever, parking where it shouldn't - getting away with it or not can be posted to this group.
This is a fun group, to make art and light of an everyday situation that can sometimes wind us up and cost us money. However, use some common sense and stick to the rules if you want to have a successful post.
Common Sense
- DO NOT deliberately park blocking a police station, fire station, hospital, or any other emergency entry or exit.
- DO NOT deliberately park in a dangerous place - i.e: artillery range, level-crossing, edge of a cliff.
Rules
1 It has to be clear that whoever's vehicle is in the picture is parked illeagally - i.e: sign, double-yellow lines, traffic warden writing a ticket.
2 Please try and make it a good composition. It would be nice to have a group of photo's that a) match the remit, but b) can be stand alone peices that are more than a car on the street. If your picture is taken down, don't get mad - get even!! Try again and keep it posted!!
3 Please give us a short narrative - if there's a story behind it - if the picture is a setup or spontaneous, please let us know - perhaps will learn a little more about the photographer as well as the situation.
FUN!
Above all, friends, we've all been brought together by a common interest - photography and this group is, after all, just a vehicle (no pun... etc) for taking pictures and having fun. If you have anything to share, please email me or put it in the group discussion.
Ok, that's it.... Be careful - it's a (concrete) jungle out there :o))
Thank you
