31 Jan 10 - Here's my plan. When I was a kid, I walked into the museum of natural history in NYC, and I saw case after case of unbelievably beautiful mineral crystals. Easily the most beautiful minerals I'd ever seen, and I'd been collecting for years. I was floored.

In this group, I want to recreate the experience, so that if you go through the group's images, your brain will basically FRY itself trying to absorb how beautiful these crystal specimens are.

About Natural Crystals

Images of natural crystals, on or in matrix, or standing alone. This group is not for polished, cut, or tumbled minerals, not for jewelry, not for new age notions, not for art made by people... the point is to show the crystalline mineral beauty nature creates without our help. I'm also looking for good to great photos. Mineral photography is tough.
