INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT

Hi there Around the Worlders,

Welcome aboard!

OBJECTIVE
To participate in an international photographic project event which observes and celebrates the everyday, through a window near you.


DESCRIPTION
The project has themes of the observational, inspired by the changing or perhaps unchanging view through a window of your choice.

This could be; A window in your home; kitchen, dining, lounge or attic.
It could be a work window and don't we all have jobs the colour of the rainbow..and the windows to match it! Where do you take your breaks during the day? Or maybe somewhere else...

Whether high rise, ground level, city or country, alley way and urban. Lighthouse, barn or mountain top.. it's really up to you! As long as you can access that window with your view on a regular basis we want it!

We welcome entries from around the world and aspire to reveal the subtle shifts of our environment through an account of the natural world whilst aiming to provide a diversity of location with which to contrast entries.

A typology account of the moving and breathing world around us, participants are to take a photo once daily, maximum; twice weekly, minimum from their location.

This position must remain the same for each photograph.
The photo is to be taken any time day or night, approximately around the same time within that day cycle. Submissions ongoing for a period of about a month. The participants work may then be revealed in an online exhibition.

REQUIREMENTS
An avid interest in photography
A window for a set period of time
A tripod and or the ability to take shot from same position for one month. Option drawing chalk to mark spot
A 5 mega pixel or higher camera with manual controls

All around the World. Diversity is great! Let’s capture those changing seasons! Simply submit images here to the pool created specifically.

WHEN
Starting as soon as you take your first photo. Jump on board.

This is a voluntary exploration for the keen photographer. Final decisions will be left to the board of Through Your Window, not the participants. Through Your Window is open for discussion; please don’t hesitate to ask questions regarding any query you may have.
