GROUP RULES:
1. Post only your own photographs (medium size) illustrating buildings, architectural features, street views, social or cultural aspects of life in villages and small towns. Overviews and roofscapes in which individual buildings can be seen are acceptable, but long distance views, in which no individual buildings can be seen with clarity, must not to be posted.
LIMIT PER DAY: 2 photos. No duplicates or re-postings.
2. Make sure that the population of any location totals no more than 30,000.
3. The name of the village or small town is to be stated in the title or description using the Roman alphabet or, alternatively, by using the Flickr mapping facility (located to the right of the photograph). Tags are not an acceptable alternative.
4. Do not post videos or stills from video or film.
5. Do not post sky shots, river or sea shots or landscapes/trees without a recognizable village or small town in the picture. Do not post photos of archaeological sites or ruined buildings unless there is sufficient walling in place to indicate the basic layout of the village/town or the relevant building. A shot of an old wall standing alone would not be acceptable.
6. Do not post portraits, interiors of private houses or shots where trees, flora, animals or vehicles are the primary subject.
7. Do not post photographs or scanned pictures of paintings, drawings, etchings, etc. Photographs of wall murals and statues are acceptable, provided that they relate to a village or small town and that there is an adequate description with the photograph.
8. Do not post artistic creations, 3D, tilt-shift photos simulating miniature scenes or photos of model villages.
Photos that do not respect the group rules will be deleted. .
