About The Word Play Bee

This is a 6 month word be for a total of 6 members. Each participant will receive a total, and can expect to construct 10 word blocks. Each month the host will pick a theme for her blocks. She can ask for members to do specific words in order to complete a quote, or can pick a theme- perhaps Christmas, and ask members to construct an appropriately themed block. If we get enough members, we will start the Bee July 1st. The Queen Bee may send fabrics to the participants, or may alternatively choose that participants construct the blocks from fabrics from her own stash. Please use only quilting quality fabrics (no Joann's or Hobby Lobby...etc).

Quilters of all levels are welcome to join the group. This piecing type is known as "unruly". People who've never quilted "liberated" or are unfamiliar with free piecing may consider buying the book at Amazon Word Play Quilts . The book is highly suggested for newbie quilters.
