About The Woodpile
This group is for those whose photos represent a rural lifestyle. These can be pictures of the homestead, a rustic cabin or hot tub, a sauna or deck. Photos might focus on the chicken coop, corral or water well. They might record an evening of campfire camaraderie, or a work party repairing the fence. In fact, photos can include pretty much anything that you feel presents an alternative to suburbia or the city.
There is one proviso: photos must be taken north of 42 degrees north latitude or south of 40 degrees south latitude. Anything in between is simply too tropical for this group.
In addition to the rural, or alternate lifestyle theme, we encourage photos that have artistic merit; composition, framing, exposure, depth of field, lighting, etc. Submit photos you'd be proud to share.
