Mount Warning is a mountain in New South Wales, Australia, near the border with Queensland and New South Wales, near Murwillumbah.
It is known as Wollumbin (meaning Fighting Chief of the Mountains) in the language of the local Indigenous Australians of the Bunjalung people.
Due to its height and proximity to the Australian mainland's easternmost point, Cape Byron, it is known as the place on the mainland that first sees the sun rise.
At 1157 metres (3795 ft) high it is an imposing sentinal in the middle of an extinct volcano and forms the centre piece of the caldera which includes Cape Byron, the most easterly point of the continent of Australia.
Mt Warning holds fascination for many people and there are those who choose to climb it and those who photograph it.
This Group is for those who love the mountain (even though they cannot explain the affection) and who photograph it.
