About Wildlife & Nature Group
Wellcome to Wildlife & Nature Group,
My name is Andreas Gruber and i do nature- and wildlife photography.
So why just another group about animals?
I'm a Flickr member for several months now, and I like the idea of meeting people from all over the world with the same (photographic) interests.
Meanwhile, I'm a member of several groups on Flicker, all about Animals; in these pools one can find extraordinary captures, but also a lot of pics that look good as a thumbnail, but, when you take a closer look, are disappointing: blurry, wrong fokus, excessively sharpened and/or saturated pictures, but also (good) pictures in stamp size, just because the author is afraid someone might use his pics for commercial purpose.
Also, beeing "forced" to comment on other images ("post 1 - comment 3"), combined with prearranged comment- and invitecodes, is (in my opinion) not the best way to communicate.
So, in this group, you don't have to comment, do so, if you really have to say something, criticise if necessary (and explain why).
These are the rules:
1) Images must not have an invitation, but admins and mods can move images that do not match the criteria from the pool to the "why not (yet) good enough"-section in the discussion pool.
2) Images must have the size of at least 850 pixel (longer side)
3) Only photos showing nature/landscape and wild animals (not domestic or captured) in (very) good technical quality.
4) No "artistic" photoshop filters/effects
5) No large Copyrights or Watermarks that spoil the image (decent ones are fine)
6) Rules for inviting pictures: see rules # 2-5
7) Have fun!
