About Winchester Photographic Society
Winchester Photographic Society was founded in 1923 and has met continuously in various venues in the City ever since.
Membership is open to anyone interested in photography, whether a skilled professional or a "holiday snapshooter" or any level in between. The objectives of the Society are to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience within the membership and to offer Lectures and Demonstrations by visiting experts on a wide range of photographic topics, including the now almost universal technique of Digital Imaging on home computers. In addition there are regular Competitions, Workshops, Advice Clinics and Outings to places of Photographic interest.
We are one of the largest clubs in the South of England with over 140 members. If you are interested in any aspect of photography then why not join us? We meet at the Discovery Centre, Jewry Street on Tuesday evenings from September to May at 7-30pm.
