About 100 day countdown to new Wiltshire Council

The countdown has started for the biggest shake-up in local government in Wiltshire for a decade. To mark the 100 days to the creation of the new Wiltshire Council we are holding an online photo competition.

The competition
Upload a photograph of any number between 100 and 1 to our website, or to the 100 day countdown groups on Flickr or Facebook

We will pick one photo each day to depict the number of days until the creation of the council. This will be featured on the homepage of the Wiltshire Council website.

There is no limit to the number of submissions you make to the competition and each month we will randomly select one entrant to win an iPod. The competition will run until 1 April 2009 – day number 1 of our countdown!

Please be aware that this is a public site and is not controlled by Wiltshire County Council. The information you post will be available to anyone who visits the site.

Wiltshire County Council is not responsible for any breaches that occur as a result of information you post. Please make sure you have permission before you post any information that is not yours or is protected by copyright.

Terms and Conditions

1. This competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland.

2. Entries should be submitted via the Wiltshire Council website forms.kennet.gov.uk/officeforms/photo-number-comp.ofml, or the appropriate webpage on Flickr www.flickr.com/groups/wiltshirecountdown/ or Facebook www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=50031769251 . Wiltshire Council does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to problems uploading.

3. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and submission of an entry confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

4. The competition will end midnight on Tuesday, March 31 2009. There is no limit to the number of submissions from each entrant.

5. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.

6. Wiltshire Council retains the right not to show images posted on the site. We also retain the right to remove any images or text, if we deem them to be obscene, libellous, defamatory, inappropriate, inciting racial hatred, terrorism or to be offensive in any way.

7. Copyright for all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of having entered the competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual license to Wiltshire Council to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.

8. Each month of the competition one winner will be selected randomly. The random selection is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be notified within seven days of the draw. The winners may be required to take part in publicity.

9. Each month, the randomly selected winner will win an iPod. The prizes as described are available at the date of publication. All prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and there are no cash alternatives. The make and model of the prize may be subject to change. Wiltshire Council reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value at any time.

10. Wiltshire Council reserves the right to cancel the Countdown Competition at any time.

11. This agreement is subject to the law of England and Wales.

12. Any information provided by participants will not be used for any other activities and will not be passed to any third parties.

13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by any person entering the competition
