About Wildlife Friendly Gardens UK

About this Group

This is a group for photographs of your wildlife friendly garden plants and garden wildlife.

It has been set up by Dorset Wildlife Trust to highlight the wonderful diversity of wildlife and plants that every garden, big or small, can have.

We run a free Wildlife Friendly Gardens Scheme, so take a look at the link at the bottom of this page to find out how you can join in.

We really look forward to seeing your garden photographs!

Group Rules

All photographs added MUST have been taken in your garden (UK ONLY), and must be of your wildlife friendly features, plants/flowers, garden views or your garden wildlife.

Please include your NAME (even if it's only your first name), WHAT the photograph is of, and WHEN it was taken in the description of the photograph, and give your photograph a clear, descriptive title.

Photographs added to this group may be used on our Wildlife Gardening page on our website at www.dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/wildlife-gardening.html

Photographs will be added to this group at the discretion of the administrator. Any photograph that doesn't follow the above rules will NOT be added.

5 photographs can be added per day.

About Dorset Wildlife Trust

Our work in Dorset:-

* We manage nature reserves for the good of wildlife
* We influence decision makers and others who affect wildlife
* We stand up for wildlife against development threats
* We seek to improve public appreciation of wildlife

Our priorities & challenges:-

- To reverse the continuing loss of habitats and wildlife species from Dorset.
- Dorset's incredible marine wildlife is under threat. We need greater protection of sea life now.
- Demand for housing is putting areas at risk where wildlife flourishes. We will act as wildlife champions protecting against poor development plans.
- Climate change may greatly affect Dorset's habitats and wildlife. We are working to help wildlife adapt to climate change through our Living Landscapes programme.
