I just updated my wfgna search page to make it more usable on mobile phones and PDAs with web browsers. Large searches (e.g. yellow/manypetals) are now broken up in to pages of 20 flowers each and the image links go to flickr's mobile version.
wfgna.tafoni.net/

If you want to try out the mobile version on your home computer go here

Let me know if this works on your phone or not and what kind you have (I'm interested in successes too). There might be some mobile devices that aren't detected properly so let me know if you have a problem. I'm especially interested in hearing from Sidekick, Treo, minimo and Opera Mini users.

I have a Razr and its pathetic little screen can display a whopping 4 thumbnails at once. (that's better than i was expecting =)

I'm not sure how useful this will be since most cell phones don't work too well out in the boondocks but we'll see.

This is so great Dawn! I can't wait to hear more from the users.

Now all I need is a cell phone or PDA with web access...:-)

Wow, phones? I'm so technology backward i don't have a PDA with access, just an old Palm 130 which a barely use anyway.

I love the webpage version Dawn and it works so well. How big are the thumbs on the phone-screen? Enough to see a decent shot?

You are my hero, Dawn! :)

The thumbnails are 75x75 and the full size images are 177x240, which i guess is good enough. The hard part is seeing the screen in the sunshine.

I'm not sure how long i'll have the web browser on my phone. I'm getting the first month of the data plan for free but i'll probably cancel after that.

Now that the flickr mobile site has been updated, this makes wildflower searches a lot more useful since the photo pages now show photo descriptions.
