We have had a few great images shared with this group that have been refused because the photo was not taken in the WildEyre project area.

Before submitting, please ensure your image was shot within the WildEyre project area.

A map of the project area will be up on our website, when it goes live (www.wildeyre.com.au). But in the meantime, have look here:

About WildEyre- Nature Photos from Eyre Peninsula

The 1.2 million hectares that comprise WildEyre is recognised as state and national significance in terms of biodiversity conservation - being a focus area for The Wilderness Society’s WildCountry Program and the South Australian Government’s East meets West NatureLinks Program. The project area, located on the wild west coast of South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, contains some of the largest, most intact and contiguous areas of bushland in the country’s southern agricultural districts and supports numerous nationally threatened plant and animal species.

WildEyre’s significant ecological attributes has led to a unique collaboration between some of the state and nation’s largest environmental organisations, working together to protect this important area of wildlife habitat. The project area includes the coastal townships of Sheringa and Elliston in the south to Streaky Bay in the north, extending inland to include the large Wilderness Protection Areas of Hincks and Hambidge.

We welcome the contribution of local and visiting photographers to this group!
