12 Sep 08 - Some people may wonder why their photo was not accepted. This group is for wild animals in the wild. That means totally wild, in their natural habitat, and not in captivity. If I see a hint of any man made object, your photo will be rejected. :)

Domesticated animals in most cases count as man-made.

Keep up the good work. There are some fantastic photos in the pool. Great job.

About Wild Animal (In the wild)

This group provides an alternative to those other animal groups that allow captive (zoo) animals, pets and things.

This group features wild animals in their native environments. To keep this group "wild" we have a couple of rules:

1). Man made objects, buildings, pets, roads, fences etc are not allowed.

- No zoos
- No pets
- No bird-feeders/birdbaths/etc
- Nothing man-made like chairs, fences, rails, power-lines, roads, etc... (in the background or foreground)
- No captive animals
- No fresh cut grass
2). Post as many photos as you like but only one of each species (Pick your best one shot of each animal)
3). Tag your photos with the "WildAnimal" tag (so we can see which it the most interesting wild animal).

Only photos that fit the rules will be accepted.

Other preferences (but not hard and fast rules):
1). Avoid posting photos with boarders. Copyright watermarks are okay if they are subtle.
2). Use the map tool (in Organize) to tag your photos. Our group map is pretty cool!
