About Wild Nature (Invitation only)

WIld Nature is an invitation only group in which you will find only the most excellent Nature shots, the Idea is based somewhat on the Bravo/Quality Ideal, but whereas they accept all forms of excellent work, this is more focused.

What will constitue a suitable "Wild Nature" Subject? It can be Animals, Insects, Wildflowers and Plants, that are in their natural environment. Landscapes and Seascapes are also acceptable within the restrictions below.

People or manmade subjects, while not excluded, cannot be a dominant part of the image (gates and fences in landscapes are acceptable though, as are distant ships or boats in water scenes as long as they genuinely add to the aesthetic of the shot).
No cultivated garden flowers (unless they form an Insect type macro background where the insect/animal is the main subject matter). No zoo, aquarium, butterfly house or pet shots, just Wild, you get the Idea.

To gain entry to the pool the invited images must be of the very highest quality, well composed, good exposure and where sharpness is expected, they should be crisp.The overall impression must be that here is a world class photograph, one you would wish to have taken yourself.
If you are familiar at all with the work of the great Naturalist Photographer, John Shaw, then you will have some Idea what we would like to collect to this pool, it could also be described perhaps as Natural Art..





Much of the rulings that apply to Bravo and Quality will also apply here.

To invite new photo's you must use the following code for the invite, images without this invite cannot remain in the pool.
You cannot invite your own images.

Don't forget when you have had an image accepted and are now a member to look through the other members photostreams, it is highly likely that they will have other exciting photo's for you to enjoy and invite to the pool, be a part of this group not only to post images for others to see but to share in finding a wonderful collection of photos of the kind you so obviously enjoy!
