I shot at the met for a good chunk of the afternoon, and it's taking forever to upload all of them. I'll give it another hour and copy everything that's made it by then. Tags will come later...

I cant complain because I know midnight is the deadline, but it would be great if we could get a 6 hour extension. Its not like the museums are still open...

*eh-hem* I sat here all day uploading rather than getting in an extra day of shooting.

well - it's sort of a not great choice - it just deleted the photos that were already there to replace them with lower quality ones. I'm not going to get a 1/4 of what I shot today into flicker before midnight. A real waste of time, I'm pretty mad at myself right now.

Ignoring the whole points/competition thing, I'd still like to see these past the deadline shots get released to the commons.

Although I took photos in the Smithsonian American Art Museum this morning, I am posting them in Los Angeles well before midnight. Regardless of the competition aspect, just want you to know that I've complied with the guidelines.

dmadeo, I'm sorry, but the rules state the images have to be uploaded here. Richard is specifically going to be watching and not allowing photos directly to the commons - it's against the rules and if we start to see that happening, it will likely stop us from doing this again next year. As frustrating as i know you find all this, the wiki is going to get a lot of photos regardless and that's a win for everyone (as a wikimedian, i know you are down with this aspect).

hi maria, we've got some bad news for you. the photos have to be uploaded by midnight where the institution is (not where you are) or they will be deleted from the pool. for DC that was midnight EST :(
