About Wigwam Burners / TeePee BurnersThis group is for photographs of wigwam burners (or teepee burners), those icons of the halcyon days of the Pacific Northwest (USA) timber industry, when the supply of big trees seemed endless. They were used to burn lumber mill wood waste until the 1970s, when air quality regulations became more stringent. You can still find these rusty relics along the backroads of Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Here is a LIST of the existing burners. |
