Only members can add to the pool. Join?

20 Jul 07 - Please note the change in the posting rules! I'm figuring this out as I go along, remembering that it is God who should receive the glory here. Taking a cue from some other groups of this kind, all images added to the pool will now need an invitation from another member. Members are encouraged to add an image without an invitation to the "For Consideration" discussion thread, where any member who hears it shout "What a God he is!" or whisper "God is good" can invite it to the pool.

About Wide Eyed In Wonder... (Invitation pool)
Jesus said, "If you keep your eyes open in wonder and belief, then your whole body will fill with light." Luke 11:34 The Message Bible .
We see photography as a way of keeping our eyes open in wonder and belief...going through the world and life looking for the evidence of the beautiful, the powerful, the irresistible, the awe-filled handiwork of the Creator God.
We believe that there are images that catch the wonder (even visible to those who do not yet believe) and open the soul to the presence of the Creator. We believe that is a good thing.
We recognize that those who took the images might, or might not, have been consciously aware of the presence of God. It is too curt to say "it does not matter", because, of course, we'd like all human beings to be aware of the gift of creation, but in a very real sense "it does not matter." God is God. What is important is recognizing and celebrating every instance we find...every image, where the light of the Creator God breaks through.
You don't have to be a member to "Select" an image for consideration here. Just copy and paste the "Selected by..." badge below into the comment box.
All images submitted must have an invitation from another member. That is the only way to get images into the pool. Even members must have an invitation in the comments of the image submitted.
Members are welcome to post images for consideration to the "For Consideration" discussion thread. If they receive and invitation from a member or administrator they can then be added to the pool.
Members who demonstrate a good eye for the kind of images we are interested in will be promoted to administrator status so they can invite images directly into the pool using the flickr invite system.
(Please: no more "posters" (images with words) unless the image is so strong that it draws the eye to God without the need of words.)
This is what you would paste into the comment before inviting the image to pool.
