About WHY: The Nominating Group

A simple group with simple rules.

The rules are as follows.

1) One photo to the pool per week.
2) When you post a photo, you must nominate another photo.

Nominating a photo is simple too.
Go to the photo's page and say the following in your comment.

"I nominate this shot for 'The Nominating Group'."

You can copy the above if you wish.

You also have to say WHY you're nominating it, WHY you like it, and WHY you think it could win.

If you find a photo you want to nominate but someone else has already done so, then comment on the photo using the below wording.

I second the nomination by _______.

The line is where you put the name of the person who made the nomination. You also have to say WHY you're nominating it, WHY you like it, and WHY you think it could win.

Now you know WHY this group is called WHY!!

But wait - there's more!

Every week (starting on Mondays), every photo that has been nominated, and that the nomination has been agreed with at least once, will compete head to head in a contest.
It is up to the members to decide who the winner will be.

'The First Day' thread is where the first things happen.
In here you NEED to nominate (or second a nomination) on a photo. It can be a photo you've nominated before but you must only do this on a photo that can be found in the 'Contestants #1' thread.

'The Second Day Thereafter' thread is where everything else happens.
For the rest of the week, you can vote for your favourite photo by doing so in this thread. But only on photos found in the 'Contestants #2' thread.

The photo with the most votes by Sunday will be posted in the 'Winners' thread.
Then ALL of the photos will be removed from the pool (and I mean ALL), and we can start all over again.

If it isn't clear what I mean, then here it is again in more deatail:

Whlie one weeks worth of photos are undergoing more nominating and voting, new photos can be posted to the pool. So that means you have to do more when you first join.

NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ
When you ppst your first photo to the pool, please nominate another photo IN THE POOL and (depending what day you join) nominate or vote for one in the threads.

I know, I know, I said simple rules didn't I?

Well, they are simple. It's just the processes that are not so simple!!!
