About White Space
Multicolumn Mess
Flickr's update to Gamma has caused quite a bit of discussion with a lot of it aimed at how the photostreams are now photoblobs. The previous, easy to scroll 1 column has been replaced by a multicolumn mess which is hard to scan and detracts attention from individual photos.
The long tedious work-around
The only way round this at the moment seems to be to upload 'white space' strategically into your photostream to emulate the previous more aesthetically pleasing single column.
Image Guidelines
This is the group to post all your white spaces - large and small, dull or exciting... all are most welcome!
If you have photos of real life white spaces (like snow/paper) then they may be accepted into the pool, although an image's suitability will be decided on an individual basis.
Have fun - don't take this too seriously, and hopefully Flickr will allow the user to choose how they want to view photostreams for themselves soon!
