About Where Did I Take This?
[the rules will be fully automatic and regulated by a bot, with the exception of abuse cases]
photos that need locating | photos that have been located
Where Did I Take This is a group where you can post photos you've taken, in an effort to figure out WHERE they were taken. Because, it's true, you can forget!
Other group members will respond to your cries for help. If they successfully locate your photo, they are listed on the Hall of Fame, along with the number of photos that they have successfully located.
How To Request Location Finding
1. If you are seeking an answer, simply place the photo you want "found" in the pool. It is helpful to add clues and information in the description which might assist in determining the location. Adding tags describing the city or country where you took the photo is especially helpful.
2. Once the photo has been located, you must add it to your Flickr Map and add a "wdittVERIFIED" tag.
How To Find Locations
1. If you want to find and identify locations, search through the pool of "wdittUNKNOWN" photos. Determine the photo's location using any available tools.
2. Once you've figured out where the photo was taken, post a link to the photo's location in the flickr maps interface as a comment under the photo. Use the url provided by the "link to this" link at the bottom right of the map.

3. Tag the photo with "wdittFOUND".
Then What?
Once the "wdittVERIFIED" tag has been added by the photo's owner, we will check the photo and add the finder to the Hall of Fame.
If you'd like to excuse yourself from the the Hall of Fame, simply tag the photo with "wdittUNSCORE", and we won't add you to the list.
Additional Rules:
Members may only submit one photo per day.
No photos should be placed in the pool for which you already know the location, please.
