About Whaling ⇂
Whaling: catching and killing whales. Images of slaughtered whales, whale products, weapons, ships and equipment used. Whaling stations.
The main purpose of the group is to supplement the tagging system of Flickr - at the time of writing this, searches for "whaling" returns all pages tagged with "whale". This is also a home for whaling images that have no whale in them.
I suggest tagging with "whale hunting" as a synoym for "whaling".
Personally I eat whale meat, but the majority that opposes whaling is also welcome.
This is not an anti-group to No whaling. This group is for images of whaling, whalers, whaling equipment and history - no matter what you think about it.
Whale watching and spontaneous beachings belong in Whales.
