About World Heritage Sites : India

India is home to one of the largest number of UNESCO designated world heritage sites. This group is dedicated to images of the same, in order to become a repository for the same.

A detailed list of India's World Heritage Sites can be found on the UNESCO website.

As the group is dedicated ONLY to WH sites, many submissions of images of famous monuments may be rejected. It is requested that a basic check of whether the place in the image is a WH site or not be done before submitting.
