28 Dec 09 - Just a reminder. Please make sure the tintypes, ambrotypes and other collodion images that you post here belong to yourself. Do not post images that appear on other websites, ebay auctions etc. Also, other than contrast, color and minor adjustments, absolutely no digital manipulations allowed. There are plenty of other groups on flickr that allow for this. Let's just see some kick ass antique and contemporary wet plate images!

About Tintypes, ambrotypes, Wet-plate Collodion photographs

This group is for anyone interested in the Wet-plate collodion process. Please post scans of tintypes (ferrotypes), ambrotypes, Albumen Prints, collodion negatives, etc. Images posted must be scans of original historical or modern plates. Images must be part of your collection. Do not post copyrighted images that do not belong to you.

Also, feel free to post photos about the process. Supplies, cameras, tutorials, etc.

Please post a maximum of three pictures at one time.
