About WETA Intersection
WETA’s new radio program, The Intersection, will feature lively discussions about issues at the heart of communities in the District, Maryland and Virginia. In that spirit, we have started this group on flickr where we hope to extend the conversation into a visual medium.
Here’s how it works: You submit to this site your photos of the intersections that you observe through the lens of your camera, along with any comments you wish to include. Be creative! Don’t limit yourself to literal intersections of streets and roads. We’re most interested in the less physical intersections of our world – ideas, lifestyles, concepts, people, classes, races, colors, etc. We’ll use the most captivating shots for the photo of the day feature on The Intersection web site, www.weta.org/intersection.
The terms and requirements are as follows:
- Please send a landscape (horizontal) shot, of at least 358 x 249 pixels.
- We reserve the right to crop your submitted photo if needed to fit onthe site.
- If we use your photo, we can’t give you money, but we can and will give you a credit on the site.
- We have the non-exclusive right to reproduce and exhibit your photo. This right is for WETA’s non-commercial use only, and is limited to use on The Intersection web site’s photo of the day feature. You will absolutely still own the copyright to your work.
- You may only send photos that you own or have taken or have permission to submit.
- You may not submit photos that are obscene or in any way violate anyone’s privacy or any applicable law.
- You will indemnify WETA and its employees, agents and affiliates from any and all claims, including attorney fees, brought by any party related to photos you submit to this site.
- By submitting a photo, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Thank you, have fun, and welcome to The Intersection!
